Events

World Sepsis Day is an initiative by the Global Sepsis Alliance and was established in 2012. Every year on September 13th, countless events raising awareness of sepsis are organised all over the world. The events range from medical education to information for laypeople, sporting activities, fundraising events like pink picnics, and much more.

AFIDEP through the African Research Collaboration on Sepsis (ARCS) programme will commemorate the day as part of efforts to bring awareness to sepsis as well as in leading policy engagement and evidence uptake strategies so that research generated by the programme has policy-level impact in Gabon, Malawi and Uganda.
