Our People

Joshua Munywoki joins AFIDEP as Project Intern, based in the Nairobi Office.
Joshua holds a Master of Science in Global Health from the University of Southampton (November 2024), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Research Methods from Pwani University.
Joshua’s MSc training focused on examining inequalities, applying various analytical techniques to understand social determinants of health, and designing policy interventions to address health issues. He is also trained in public policy analysis, knowledge translation, health systems, and leadership, management and economic evaluation in health.
Prior to his master’s training, he was part of the Africa Health Observatory Platform (AHOP), which was a collaboration between the London School of Economics, Ministry of Health (Kenya) and the World Health Organization to identify priority policy issues, undertake rapid reviews relevant to the policy issues, synthesise evidence in to policy briefs, and convene policy dialogues. He was also part of the team that developed the Kenya Country Health Systems and Services Profile.
Joshua is keen on the dynamic application of both research and communication skills to support policy makers towards evidence-informed decisions.
Outside of work, Joshua is a biker, loves adventure, and enjoys socialization.
