Belinda Korir
Research & Policy Associate

Belinda, based in AFIDEP’s Nairobi office, supports the Learning Together to Advance Evidence and Equity in Policymaking for Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (LEEPS) project. The project supports the advancement of evidence-informed policymaking by building the capacity of policymakers and researchers to integrate evidence into decision-making processes particularly in the health and energy sectors.

She brings over 13 years of experience in health project management, community health, and policy research. Before joining AFIDEP, she worked as an Independent Consultant on policy and project development and implementation assignments for various organizations. Her previous roles include Research Projects Manager at the Kenya Red Cross Society, where she led research on disaster management, and Project Manager at AMPATH, overseeing health research, projects and capacity building programs. She also served as a Health and Development Advisor at Matibabu Foundation and as Program Manager at Duke University’s Hubert-Yeargan Center for Global Health.

Belinda holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from Strathmore Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Moi University.

Outside work, Belinda enjoys recreational running, immersing herself in a good book, and finds inspiration in spending time in nature.
