Bernadette joins AFIDEP as a Research Intern under the Mastercard Foundation IPO programme and she is based in the Malawi Office.
A development specialist with over seven years of experience, Bernadette works towards advancing economic empowerment, health equity, and education access for marginalized communities. Her expertise in M&E will be instrumental in advancing the program goal of creating a sustainable environment where women and youth thrive through economic ventures and dignified work. She has worked in monitoring and evaluation, project management, strategic planning, grants management and administration, and capacity building. She also has experience working with local and international organizations including donor organizations such as USAID and World Connect, as well as humanitarian organizations such as Plan International.
Bernadette holds a Master’s Degree in Development Policy, specializing in sustainable development from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities from the University of Malawi.
In her free time Bernadette enjoys travelling, reading, cooking and exercising for fitness.
