The Malawi Ministry of Health (MoH), in collaboration with its partners led by the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), College of Medicine (CoM), and Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Centre (MLW), will conduct a week- long training on Rapid Evidence Synthesis Training Workshop. The purpose of the workshop is to strengthen the skills of research focal person within the Technical Working Groups (TWGs) on the generation and utilization of rapid evidence within TWGs.
The workshop will present an opportunity for participants to understand and practice the steps to conducting a rapid evidence synthesis and how to summarise and present a rapid response brief to policy makers. The workshop will introduce participants to the tools used to aid the processes of rapid response (RR) service for health systems and policy questions, to fit into the EIP (Evidence Informed Policy) framework.
The workshop will be facilitated by the Center for Rapid Evidence Synthesis (ACRES) based in Kampala, Uganda.
