The Leaving no-one behInd: transforming Gendered pathways to Health for TB (LIGHT) is a six-year cross-disciplinary global health research programme funded with UK aid from the UK government. LIGHT aims to provide new evidence on the effectiveness of different gender-sensitive pathways and approaches to health for those with TB in urban, HIV-prevalent settings. The initiative will contribute to improved health, socio-economic and equity outcomes, and efforts to stop the spread of TB. The programmes aims to support a more effective, gender-sensitive health policy and practice response to reduce TB transmission, morbidity, mortality and associated catastrophic costs for sustainable, equitable access to quality TB care and prevention.

LIGHT is funded by UK Aid and led by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine working with partners in Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda, and the UK. LIGHT’s partners include:
