Our People

Mary Magoya joins AFIDEP as a Data Analyst, based in the Malawi Office.  She will support in advancing the institute’s efforts in conducting statistical and spatial analyses.

Mary brings over four years’ work experience in data management, data reporting and visualisation, quality assurance, data analysis, Statistical Consulting and Collaboration, and Study Design and Statistical Planning.

Before joining AFIDEP, Mary held various positions in notable organizations. She served as the Senior Data Officer at Training and Research Unit of Excellence (TRUE) and the Malawi Liverpool Welcome Program. She also worked as a Biostatistics Experience and Technical Assistant under the US Centre for Disease Controls and Prevention (CDC Malawi).

Mary holds Master of Science in Biostatistics from Stellenbosch University. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science with a major in Statistics and a minor in Demography from the University of Malawi.

During her free time, Mary enjoys listening to music and podcasts.
