Our People

Mayeso is an accomplished Economist and expert in Results Measurement, Monitoring, and Evaluation (M&E) with over 20 years of dedicated experience in international development programming. He has a proven track record of delivering measurable results for prominent donors, including USAID and FCDO, across Southern and Western Africa.
Mr. Mphande has expertise in designing, implementing, and overseeing Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEAL) systems within multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary environments. His extensive portfolio covers key areas such as HIV/Public Health, Nutrition, Governance, Market Systems, Sustainable Growth, Climate Resilience, Emergency Relief, and Public/Private Sector Development.
Prior to joining AFIDEP as a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, he provided strategic M&E and research oversight for USAID Malawi’s infectious disease portfolio (over $250M), where he served as the primary technical liaison for 20+ implementing partners. He has also held leadership and technical guidance roles on MEAL with numerous international organizations, including PATH, Palladium, NDI, Jhpiego, World Vision International, Save the Children International, and Adam Smith International.
He holds a Master of Arts in Health Economics and a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Malawi.
Mayeso is a passionate sports enthusiast who supports Arsenal and Mighty Wanderers, and enjoys playing chess and exercising in his free time. He is a proud father of two daughters.
