This day recognises the critical role women and girls play in science and technology communities. This year\u2019s event theme is &lsquo;<em><b>Equity, Diversity and Inclusion: Water Unites Us.<\/b>&lsquo; Through this theme, <\/em>the role of women and girls in science will be recognized, not only as beneficiaries, but also as agents of change, including in view of accelerating progress towards the achievement of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/water-and-sanitation\/\">SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This day will offer an opportunity to promote full and equal access and participation in science for women and girls.
