Rebuilding a more resilient economy is of key importance after the end of the Covid-19 pandemic. The two continents can best tackle this great challenge in cooperation. At the same time, the crisis offers both continents the opportunity for a green transition.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/globalperspectives.org\/the-africa-roundtable\/\">Africa Roundtable<\/a> is a new forum for decision-makers from politics, business and society for European-African cooperation. The dialogue platform provides a space for current pressing questions and challenges of the neighboring continents as well as partnership solutions and models of future cooperation to be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Focusing on &lsquo;<strong>African-European Cooperation on Green Transition and Covid-19 Recovery&rsquo;<\/strong>, the first Africa Roundtable event will take place on 9 June 2021 at 10.00 \u2013 12.30 hrs (CEST \/ CAT). The\u00a0 convening will feature high-level speakers, panelists and participants.<\/p>\n<p>Opening keynote addresses will be delivered by President of the Federal Republic of Germany &#8211; HE Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier and President of the Republic of Senegal &#8211; HE Macky Sall. AFIDEP Executive Director, Dr. Eliya Zulu is among the selected participants attending the event.<\/p>\n<p>The Africa Roundtable event is hosted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalperspectives.org\/\">Global Perspectives Initiative<\/a> and supported by Robert Bosch Stiftung, Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation, Mo Ibrahim Foundation, McKinsey &amp; Company, Phineo and Munich Security Conference.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be livestreamed in both English and German.
