{"id":28688,"date":"2020-12-03T13:45:20","date_gmt":"2020-12-03T10:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.afidep.org\/event\/ela-seed-grants-close-out-event\/"},"modified":"2020-12-03T13:45:20","modified_gmt":"2020-12-03T10:45:20","slug":"ela-seed-grants-close-out-event","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/afidep.org\/fr\/event\/ela-seed-grants-close-out-event\/","title":{"rendered":"ELA Seed Grants Close-out event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) in collaboration with the African Academy of Sciences (AAS) have been implementing a two-year project,\u00a0<a href=\"\/?programme=evidence-leaders-in-africa-ela-fr\">Evidence Leaders in Africa (ELA)<\/a> aimed at expanding leadership for the use of evidence in policy formulation and implementation by African governments. Part of the project is a seed grant initiative which supports activities of scientists that promote Evidence-Informed Decision-Making (EIDM) within governments.<\/p>\n<p>The ELA initiative awarded seed grant worth $20,0000 to four scientists to implement initiatives that institutionalise EIDM in government agencies in their countries. The grant was intended to support activities necessary to advance initiatives that nurture a culture of evidence use.
