The Kenya Ministry of Health (MoH) in collaboration with the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) will on 28 February 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya officially launch the\u00a0Heightening institutional capacity for government use of health research (HIGH-Res)<\/a>\u00a0project in Kenya. This launch will include a validation meeting where findings from the project\u2019s inception baseline study will be shared.<\/p>\n

The HIGH-Res project aims at strengthening institutional capacity to facilitate increased government use of health research in decision-making. It is a collaborative project that brings together various\u00a0partners\u00a0under the\u00a0HIGH-Res East Africa Consortium to advance Evidence-Informed Decision-Making (EIDM) in the Ministries of Health in Kenya, Malawi and Uganda.<\/p>\n

As part of the HIGH-Res project inception phase activities, a baseline survey was conducted to inform the refinement of project interventions. This event will therefore also serve as a validation meeting convening officials from the MoH, research institutions, and development partner agencies to discuss the results of the study and its implications on the HIGH-Res interventions.<\/p>\n
