The Kenya Correspondents Association (KCA) will host a national media conference to discuss the quality of coverage of devolution, the challenges facing journalists including lack of access to information, safety and security, and fake news. The conference will be held between 4-5 September 2019 in Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n
Themed ‘<\/em><\/span>Media<\/span> and the Challenges of Reporting Devolution,’ <\/span><\/em>the conference seeks to<\/span> deepen conversations on devolution and will provide an important an opportunity for the media sector, government agencies, non-state actors, development partners and other participants to share valuable experiences and information on the work they are doing on devolution and governance.\u00a0The collective reflections at the conference will provide a road map for improving reporting on devolution and dealing with the challenges outlined above.<\/p>\n Kenya Correspondents Association (KCA) is a national journalists\u2019 organization with mandates that include enhancing the professional capacity of journalists through continuous skills development and training, advocacy for journalists\u2019 rights and press freedom within the media industry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"give_campaign_id":0,"inline_featured_image":false},"tags":[3299,3825],"programme":[3003],"country":[804],"cop26":[],"class_list":["post-28754","event","type-event","status-publish","hentry","tag-devolution-fr","tag-kenya-correspondents-association-kca-fr","programme-general-commentary-fr","country-kenya"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
