This prestigious title has raised awareness of the Demographic Dividend, but mass appeal and understanding is still lacking. The Demographic Dividend is a concept, not a cause. It\u2019s talked about by economists and demographers, but not by a broad base of Africans including the people who it will really benefit: youth.<\/p>\n<p>We want to change this. We want everyone \u2013 not least decision-makers \u2013 to understand its potential and act now to reap the benefits. And we want young people to lead the charge.
