Despite this, governments across the region grapple with implementation of and accountability for policy decisions focused on supporting the realisation of the demographic dividend, including in the areas of education, health, social protection, gender equality and the labour market.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar will be moderated by Dr Eliya Zulu who is the Executive Director of AFIDEP and he will engage experts from the region:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ms Beatrice Mutali, Deputy Regional Director: UNFPA ESARO<\/li>\n<li>Mr Jean Pierre Bokeli, Director of Macroeconomics: Ministry of Planning, Democratic Republic of Congo<\/li>\n<li>Dr Bernard Onyango,\u00a0 Senior Research and Policy Analyst: AFIDEP<\/li>\n<li>Dr Morne Oosthuizen, University of Cape Town<\/li>\n<li>Mr Charles Banda, Director: Department of Population and Development, Zambia<\/li>\n<li>Mr Francis Kundu, Assistant Director: Population, National Council for Population and Development, Kenya<\/li>\n<li>Dr Betty Kyaddondo, Director: Family Health, National Population Council, Uganda<\/li>\n<li>Mr Vusimuzi Maduna, Deputy Director: Population Policy, Strategy, Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate in the National Population Unit, Department of Social Development, South Africa<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The webinar will discuss how other countries in the East and Southern region have operationalised the demographic dividend.
