The global conference which was themed \u2018<em>From Tackling the Pandemic to Addressing Climate Change\u2019<\/em>, highlighted what Open Science has learned from COVID-19 and how this can be applied in addressing the global climate crisis, at the interface of science, technology, policy and research.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/afidep.org\/fr\/?post_type=staff&#038;p=9748\">Professor Nyovani Madise<\/a>, African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) Director of Development Policy, and member of the group of scientists drafting the 2023 Global Sustainable Development Report was a panellist at the conference. Her session under the theme of \u00ab\u00a0Policymakers and Open Science\u00a0\u00bb focused on learning from the pandemic to accelerate action on climate change\u2014emphasising how the pandemic has shown us that people will do all they can to stay healthy and that to tackle global challenges, global partnerships and solutions are required.
