In response to emerging population issues that need policy direction, Kenya is in the process of revising the Population Policy for National Development, Sessional Paper No. 3 of 2012.<\/p>\n

In this regard, the State Department for Planning<\/a> – National Treasury and Planning through the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD)<\/a> will be hosting a National Leaders Conference to garner wider stakeholder input on a draft National Population Policy following initial stakeholder consultations at both National and County levels.<\/p>\n

The conference, themed \u2018Investing in human capital for achievement of Kenya\u2019s Vision 2030\u2019 <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0will be held virtually for three days between 26 – 28 May 2021.<\/p>\n

Experts from AFIDEP will participate in several sessions at the National Leaders Conference with presentations and discussions based on the Institute\u2019s work on population and the demographic dividend, health and environment.<\/p>\n
