But, evidence often fails to play this role because of many reasons. This workshop was part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.afidep.org\/our-work\/strengthening-capacity-use-evidence-policymaking-spaces\/current-programmes\/evidence-leaders-in-africa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Evidence Leaders in Africa<\/a>\u00a0(ELA) project that is being implemented by the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aasciences.ac.ke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">African Academy of Sciences<\/a>.
