We are overjoyed to have a female African researcher focused on research impact join our Board of Trustees.\u00a0\u00bb\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Nyovani is a world-class scholar and believer in Africa&rsquo;s development. Her research work and experience spans the areas of sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, food and nutritional security. Her work with AFIDEP has seen her at the forefront of having research and evidence improve decision-making in these and other critical development issues.<\/p>\n<p>Nyovani also sits on the advisory committees of research funders such as the Department for International Development (DFID), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Medical Research Council, Research Council Norway and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO-WOTRO). She is a member of the World Health Organization&rsquo;s Strategic Advisory Group for Malaria Eradication.
