This year, much like last year&rsquo;s meeting, the forum will bring focus around reproductive health (RH) and family planning (FP), with the theme \u00ab\u00a0<em>Building the capacity of African policy makers for reproductive health and family planning: Challenges and Opportunities for Parliaments to enhance reproductive health and family planning\u00a0\u00bb\u009d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The meeting is jointly organised by the Partners in Population and Development \u00ab\u00a0\u0093 Africa Regional Office (PPD-ARO) in partnership with AFIDEP and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). The Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga is expected to officiate the opening of the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>AFIDEP is represented at this year&rsquo;s meeting by\u00a0the Executive Director, <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/2tvhLNp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Eliya Zulu<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/localhost\/afidep\/staff\/bernard-omondi-onyango-ph-d-knowledge-translation-scientist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dr. Bernard Onyango<\/a>, Knowledge Translation Scientist. Dr. Zulu will give opening remarks during the opening ceremony on Tuesday morning, 30 October 2018.
