On Saturday, 14 April 2018, the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) took part in the Partnership for Increasing the Impact of Vector Control (PIIVeC)<\/a> Management Board Meeting in Dakar, Senegal, ahead of the 7<\/span>th<\/sup><\/span>\u00a0MIM Pan African Malaria Conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

AFIDEP’s\u00a0Claire Jensen<\/a>\u00a0participated at the PIIVeC Management Board meeting, where key decisions were made regarding PIIVeC projects and management. Discussions held during this Meeting focused on the organisation of an upcoming training workshop on policy engagement and evidence uptake for PIIVeC researchers, as well as how the project would begin its\u00a0stakeholder mapping and policy analysis\u00a0at the global, regional, and national levels.<\/p>\n

PIIVeC, hosted by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM), is a collaboration of research institutes, NGOs, and national control programmes in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, and Malawi, and global policy-making bodies. AFIDEP is co-leading the work package on policy analysis and evidence uptake, which has the overall objectives to accelerate research uptake using evidence synthesis and policy analysis, and to strengthen linkages between vector control research and policy at the global, regional, national, and project levels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
