The Summit, whose predecessor was convened in 2012, is the midpoint of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.familyplanning2020.org\/\">2020 goals<\/a> on family planning. The forum is therefore an opportunity for stakeholders to take stock of commitments made and targets set in 2012.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/localhost\/afidep\/?staff=eliya-msiyaphazi-zulu-ph-d-executive-director\">Dr. Eliya Zulu<\/a>, AFIDEP&rsquo;s Executive Director speaks more on the expectations from the Summit and why investing in family planning is critical for development. The Kenya event is being hosted by the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund <a href=\"http:\/\/kenya.unfpa.org\/\">(UNFPA Kenya)<\/a>.
