The conference whose theme is <em>Translating the Science to End New HIV Infections in Kenya: Perspectives, Practices and Lessons, <\/em>is being\u00a0held at the Hilton Hotel in Nairobi from 28<sup>th<\/sup> to 31<sup>st<\/sup> May 2017.<\/p>\n<p>On 30th May 2017, Dr. Rose Oronje, the Director, Science Communication and Evidence Uptake at AFIDEP, shall be a panelist at the Session titled <em>From Science to Action: Lessons and Opportunities. <\/em>The objective of the session is to discuss challenges, opportunities and lessons learned in translating HIV research into local policy and practice.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, panelists at the session shall deliberate the opportunities that exist with regards to translation of local research into policy and practice, the existing opportunities for domestic financing of research in Kenya, and leveraging health informatics and innovation to drive actionable policy implementation in Kenya.
