Specifically, the policymakers shall discuss the challenges and opportunities for strengthening effective and efficient law making processes. Participating in this panel discussion which shall take place on 23<sup>rd<\/sup> March 2017 is AFIDEP&rsquo;s Director, Science and Evidence Uptake, Dr. Rose Oronje. Other panelists shall be Dr. Johnson Okello-Ag. Director, Legal Services, Senate Kenya and Mr. Edward Libendi, Clerk Makueni County Assembly. The moderator of the session shall be Ms. Jane Mutai, Clerk, Elgeyo Marakwet County Assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Conversations at the Summit are focused on effective legislation to ensure sustainable development at the grassroots.<\/p>\n<p>The Summit, which is being held at the PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort in Mombasa County, kicked off on 19<sup>th<\/sup> March 2017 and is set to close on 24<sup>th<\/sup> March 2017. The Summit was officially opened on 22<sup>nd<\/sup> March 2017 by H.E.
