Edel supports AFIDEP’s Communications and Policy Engagement team acting as a Communications and Policy Engagement Manager.<\/p>\n
She has over 15 years’ professional collective experience in developing and implementing communications strategies, digital communications with a focus on multimedia, graphic design, creative visual identity, photography, copy writing and editing (for both print and digital), publications production, digital marketing. She has managed teams and coordinated multiple projects and technical suppliers. She has worked on projects for both local and international organisations.<\/p>\n
Before joining AFIDEP, Edel was the founder and Production and Creative Manager at RealOne Concepts Ltd – a graphic design and printing agency. She has also previously worked as a Social Media and Communications Manager for Sparkplug Women of Influence (SWOI); a Production Manager and a Graphic Design Studio Manager for Oakland Media Services; and as a Graphic Design and Editorial Coordinator for Media7 Group.<\/p>\n
Edel holds a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Journalism and Media Studies having majored in Public Relations from the University of Nairobi – School of Journalism, a diploma in Fine Arts having majored in Graphic Design from the Buru Buru Institute of Fine Arts. A professional diploma in Digital Marketing from Simon Page\u2019s Digital Marketing Insitute and certificates in Engaging the Media, People Management and reputation Management. Her areas of interest are in digital communications for social impact. She has a Masters in Communication for Development from the United States International University- Africa (USIU).<\/p>\n
