Rosemary Arende<\/strong> serves at AFIDEP as Human Resources Manager, leading the Institute\u2019s Human Resources (HR) Department.<\/p>\n

Rosemary brings over 15 years of HR Management experience, gained from a diverse cross-industry background in supporting large workforces in multiple locations. \u00a0She has built a career in Human Resource Management by driving organisational effectiveness processes, strategy development and implementation, change management, performance management and the application of HR best practices within the HR portfolio, among others.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining AFIDEP, Rosemary worked as a HR Consultant for ActionAid Spain, supporting the Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis where she was responsible for developing and implementing their HR processes and structures. Previously, she has worked with ActionAid Kenya as Head of Human Resources and has held other HR Management roles at the British High Commission, International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), United States International University (USIU), M-KOPA Solar Ltd., World Vision International and CARE International – Kenya.<\/p>\n

She holds a Master\u2019s degree in Personnel Management from Pune University, India and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Psychology from the University of Baroda.<\/p>\n

Rosemary is a HR generalist, with key strengths in strategic planning, policy development and implementation, recruitment processes, team building, and staff welfare among others.<\/p>\n

In her free time, she can be found tending to her flower and kitchen gardens.<\/p>\n
