Mark Malema joins AFIDEP as a Senior Research & Policy Associate, based in the Malawi office.<\/p>\n
Mark holds a Masters Degree in Strategic Management (Finance & Strategy) from the University of Derby, UK, and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Malawi. He also holds a Certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Mark is a member of Malawi Country Team of P4H – Social Protection Health Network, Health Economics Association of Malawi (HEAM), Member of the Chartered Institute of Management, <\/strong>Strategy as Practice International Network (SAP-IN) and Community of Practice Performance Based Financing.<\/p>\n Mark is a health financing specialist with 19 years of experience in the field, who has authored various publications, developed various health financing and health sector policies and reforms. He has also supervised a number of research and implementation projects.<\/p>\n Prior to joining AFIDEP, Mark worked as a Health Financing Advisor at Options Consultancy Services Ltd (UK), he also worked as the National Health Accounts Technical Consultant at WHO Malawi. He has also worked as a consultant at the Southern Africa Federation of Disabled (SAFOD), GIZ Health Malawi, Palladium International, LLC and Catholic Relief Services. Mark was also a Health Financing Specialist and an Acting Chief of Party at Abt Associates Inc \u2013 International Health Division.
