Gideon is a Research Assistant Intern with the Mastercard Youth Futures Project at AFIDEP, based in Nairobi. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Kenyatta University and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Economics (Policy and Management) at the same institution.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining AFIDEP, Gideon worked in the youth empowerment space with the International Republican Institute, where he supported advocacy initiatives focused on youth empowerment in Nairobi County through a democracy and governance lens. He also worked at the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) in monitoring and evaluation and economic regulation through surveillance and enforcement.<\/p>\n

Gideon is passionate about development economics, with a particular interest in poverty alleviation and promoting sustainable, inclusive, and equitable development.<\/p>\n
