The Post TB well-being Data Validation Workshop seeks to explore key evidence gaps, key research findings and pathways, to implementation of a post-TB care programme. It also seeks to identify the roles different stakeholders can play, organization of post-TB care services in the health system and the capacity of health systems to provide these services. Additionally, the workshop will explore specific aspects that post-TB care services ought to address, what care packages should look like, next steps for the post-TB care agenda and how to fund post-TB care services.

The workshop is part of the Post-Tuberculosis Lung Damage Amongst Pulmonary Tuberculosis Survivors in East Africa (PTLD) project, which aims to explore patient-centred models of post-TB care in Malawi and Kenya. PTLD is funded by National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and implemented by partners – Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and the African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP).

Throughout our initiative we have engaged in dialogue with international and in-country stakeholders in both Kenya and Malawi to identify potential models of post-TB care, barriers to implementation and existing data gaps, with the long-term objective to strengthen infrastructure for further research, policy and implementation work on post-TB care in the region.

Kindly note that this is an invite-only webinar, open to only a selected group of stakeholders, including policymakers, bilateral and multilateral partners, researchers and civil society actors, who we believe can make valuable contributions to the proceedings of the webinar.
