AFIDEP expanding demographic dividend agenda to Angola through modelling workshop

Event Location: Luanda, Angola

The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), in collaboration with the Angola Ministries of Economic Planning; Health; and Education, shall be conducting a workshop on the demographic dividend (DD) from 9^th to 12^th April 2018 in Angola.

Further, the workshop is intended to build the capacity of the participants – pooled from the aforementioned Ministries – in running the model and also to increase the buy-in into the national DD study and products among the participants and stakeholders who will be present.

The team hopes to also use the workshop to cultivate DD champions who can continue with the advocacy and DD work after the exercise and push for the inclusion of recommendations in Angola’s future development plans and strategies.
