The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) will participate in the 7th International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP 2025), taking place from 1–6 November 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia.
ICFP brings together researchers, governments, advocates, health equity champions, and local communities to celebrate progress, pledge new commitments, and chart the way forward for advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) globally. Rooted in collaboration, inclusivity, innovation, and scientific integrity, it serves as a strategic inflection point for advancing universal access to family planning and reproductive health.
The ICFP 2025 theme, “Equity Through Action: Advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All,” reflects the urgency of addressing systemic inequities through innovative solutions and concrete commitments. Participants will engage in a wide range of sessions—from plenaries, panel discussions, and debates to workshops, side events, and networking opportunities—all designed to spark dialogue, strengthen partnerships, and inspire action.
AFIDEP’s participation at ICFP 2025 demonstrates our vital role in driving evidence-informed policies that advance family planning and reproductive health across Africa.
Through its research and strategic policy engagement, AFIDEP champions gender equality, improved health outcomes, and the demographic dividend. By collaborating with global and regional stakeholders, the Institute amplifies African perspectives in shaping equitable and inclusive SRHR policies. Its engagement reinforces AFIDEP’s impact in turning evidence into action which promotes equity, empowering communities, and transforming lives across the continent.
