AFIDEP engages in strategic dialogue on evidence-informed decision-making at LEEPS Africa 2024 and the Evidence-Policy-Action Forum
Event Date: 5 - 8 Nov 2024
Event Location: Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire
The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP), led by Dr Rose Oronje, Director, Public Policy & Knowledge Translation, and Head of Kenya Office will actively participate in the LEEPS Africa 2024 partners convening in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on November 5 and 8. This gathering brings together key stakeholders to reflect on achievements, deepen partnerships, explore new collaboration opportunities, and strategize for the coming year. AFIDEP’s involvement underscores its commitment to advancing impactful collaborations for sustainable development in Africa.
Following the LEEPS meeting, the AFIDEP team will also participate in the prestigious Evidence-Policy-Action (EPA) Forum, organized by CIRES’ Cellule d’Analyse des Politiques Économiques in collaboration with the African Center for Equitable Development (ACED), on November 6-7.
Under the theme “Enhancing Evidence Ecosystems in Francophone Africa,” this two-day forum will bring together prominent development leaders to strengthen the systematization and institutionalization of evidence-informed decision-making in Francophone Africa.
Special attention will be given to the challenge in the global landscape, marked by poly-crises, misinformation, and shifting world dynamics.
The EPA Forum has established itself as a crucial platform for collaborative engagement among researchers, policymakers, experts, think tanks, and practitioners.
This year’s forum will foster knowledge exchange, dialogue, and innovative solutions for building resilient evidence ecosystems across the region.
Through its active participation, AFIDEP reaffirms its dedication to promoting evidence-based policies that contribute to equitable development outcomes across Africa.
