AFIDEP to speak on evidence-informed decision-making at the 2018 Legislative Summit in Kenya

AFIDEP’s Communications Officer, Diana Warira will speak on the role of evidence-informed decision-making in legislative processes on 23 May 2018 at the Legislative Summit.

This year, the theme of the Summit is “The Devolution Debate, Legislating for Sustainable System of Devolved Government.” Part of AFIDEP’s mandate is to strengthen the capacity of African governments to use evidence in decision-making and engage policymakers on the value of evidence in decision-making processes.

The official opening of the Summit takes place on 22 May 2018, with a keynote address from Kenya’s Deputy President William S. Ruto. The Summit is taking place at the PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Mombasa County.
