Conference on Research Uptake

Research uptake, which includes the processes that promote and enable the use of research findings in decision-making, has become an important development issue given the huge investments in research and the critical role of research in informing development efforts.

To facilitate an exploration of issues surrounding research uptake, AFIDEP and the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) have organised an event, dubbed ResUp MeetUp, to be held in Nairobi on Feb 9-12th, 2015. More information is available on the meeting website: www.resupmeetup.net.

The meeting will have two components, i.e. a two-day Symposium on February 9-10, 2015 followed by a two-day Training Exchange on February 11-12, 2015. To enable extensive participation, two calls have been released:

  • The Call for Proposals for the Training Exchange sessions (see more details)
