The Africa Regional Conference on Parliament and Legislation (AFRIPAL) is a research conference on Legislation and parliamentary affairs in Africa. It is a convening of researchers and practitioners who work on legislation and parliamentary affairs in Africa. The conference is expected to happen every two (2) years in different countries in Africa after its launch in June 2025
AFIDEP is proud to be a co-convener of the inaugural Africa Regional Conference on Parliament and Legislation (AFRIPAL) from June 18-20, 2025, in Kampala, Uganda. Themed Parliaments in Africa: Opportunities and Prospects for Sustainable Development, the event will gather key policymakers, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the role of African parliaments in addressing emerging challenges.
