The LIGHT Consortium will be participating in the 17th NEAPACOH Conference, where Dr Brenda Mungai will deliver a presentation titled “Optimising Gendered Interventions to Accelerate the End TB Campaign in Africa: Lessons from the LIGHT Consortium.” 

This session will spotlight emerging evidence on how gender norms, roles, and power dynamics shape tuberculosis (TB) risk, access to diagnosis, treatment adherence, and health outcomes across African contexts.  

Drawing on the Consortium’s multi-country research and implementation experience, the presentation will demonstrate why addressing gendered pathways to health is central to accelerating progress toward ending TB on the continent.
