Workshop Objectives

  1. To review demographic and economic opportunities and challenges and assess their implications for harnessing the demographic dividend in Senegal
  2. Assess the magnitude of the demographic dividend that Senegal can harness under different policy scenarios using the DemDiv Model
  3. Determine policy options Senegal can adopt to maximise the demographic dividend that it can earn

The workshop technical lead is AFIDEP and the programme is supported by UNFPA Senegal, Ministry of Economics, Finance, and Planning (MEFP) Senegal.
