This high-level convening brings together policymakers, researchers, and global health partners to explore evidence on gendered dimensions of TB in Malawi, with a particular focus on men who bear a disproportionate burden of the disease.
The event aims to translate research into action by informing policy, strengthening collaboration, and identifying practical strategies to make TB services more inclusive, responsive, and effective.

The objectives of the event are:
- Present evidence on gender disparities in TB, particularly among men
- Highlight the role of adolescents and young people in TB transmission and response

- Promote evidence-informed, gender-responsive TB policies and programmes
- Strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration in TB control
Leaving no one behInd; transforming Gendered Pathways to Health for TB (LIGHT) consortium, a six-year cross-disciplinary global health research programme, funded by UK aid.
LIGHT aims to support policy and practice in transforming gendered pathways to health for people affected by TB in urban settings – enhancing health and well-being, improving socio-economic outcomes and equity, and contributing to the efforts of ending TB by 2030.
