African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP)’s Gender and Decision-Making project is holding a one-day validation meeting for the Landscape Assessment on Gender Data and Decision-Making Ecosystem in Ethiopia study.
Date: September 17, 2024
Venue: Skylight Airport Hotel, Addis Ababa
Time: 8.30am to 4.30pm
The participants include high-level actors from government ministries, local CSOs and international NGOs in Ethiopia. The validation meeting, through roundtable and plenary discussions, will examine the findings of the Landscape Assessment on Gender Data and Decision-Making Ecosystem in Ethiopia study, and generate feedback and input from stakeholders to enhance the study’s relevance and applicability in Ethiopia.
Funded by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, AFIDEP’s gender data and decision-making project area of work helps generate, synthesise & translate demand-driven evidence to contribute to accelerating progress to achieve the SDGs and the AU Agenda 2063. Furthermore, as shown by this study, AFIDEP identifies and co-creates interventions to strengthen the translation and use of gender data in decision-making in development policy and programming.
