Four countries in the Southern Africa region namely; Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe will commence studies on Demographic Dividend (DD) using the National Transfer Accounts (NTA) approach. AFIDEP in collaboration with the Development Policy Research Unit (DPRU) of the University of Cape Town will provide the technical support to these studies. These studies are supported by the respective UNFPA country offices and UNFPA East and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO). As part of the study, Morné Oosthuizen, the deputy director, DPRU at the University of Cape Town, will be facilitating the introductory webinar to the National Transfer Accounts (NTA) and demographic dividend (DD) to the country technical teams. The 1st webinar will be held on Friday, 19th August 2016 from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm EAT for Botswana and Swaziland technical teams. The next webinar for Zimbabwe and Namibia will be announced in due course.
