Mr Paul Okech gives his views about the value of training he completed through the SECURE Health programme led by AFIDEP. The training on evidence-informed policy-making (EIPM) aims to enhance the capacity of technical staff in Parliament in accessing, synthesising and utilising evidence in order to ensure that decisions being made by Parliament are based on the latest available research evidence. The SECURE Health programme is implemented by a consortium of partners who include: FHI360, the East and Southern African Health Community (ECSA-HC), the Consortium for National Research (CNHR-Kenya), College of Medicine at the University of Malawi and UK’s Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology with funding from the Department for International Development (DFID).
