Chikonzero joins AFIDEP as a Gender & Youth Integration Specialist and Project Officer – BUILD Project, to be based in the Malawi office.

He is a Gender, Youth and Development Expert with over 16 years work experience in project management (with focus on gender and youth integration), partnership management, capacity strengthening of partners, program development, Youth development, monitoring and evaluation, financial resources and budget management.

Before joining AFIDEP, Chikonzero worked with Save the Children as the Youth Technical Manager, Adolescent and Youth Coordinator and Youth Livelihoods Specialist respectively. He also worked with World Vision International and the Malawi Government.

His academic background includes a Master of Science in Gender and Development which he obtained from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources in 2020, and he also holds a Bachelor of Education Science from Mzuzu University, which he completed in 2007.

During his free time, Chikonzero enjoys writing poems and playing football.
