Elsie Mponda
Temporary Project Assistant

Elsie Mponda joins AFIDEP as a Temporary Project Assistant for the upcoming 09th African Population Conference for the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS). She will be based in the Malawi Office.

Elsie brings in over twenty years’ professional work experience in administration, front office management, logistics and events coordination, fleet management, procurement and human resources management.

Before joining AFIDEP, she worked as a Projects and Logistics Associate at the Design Outreach Malawi Office. Prior to that, she worked with the United Nations Population Fund as a Receptionist/Team Assistant. She also served as the Executive Assistant for Counterpart International’s USAID STEPS Project. Additionally, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the International Education Centre for Health (I-Tech), a collaboration between the University of Washington and the University of California Global Health Department.

Elsie holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, a Diploma in Marketing Management, and various certificate s in Secretarial Studies. She has just completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Elsie is a Paul Harris Fellow and has been accorded several International Awards.

During her free time, Elsie enjoys doing physical exercises and also engages herself in various charitable activities.
