Our People
Josephine supports AFIDEP’s Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) project as a Research and Policy Associate – Economics. She is based in the Nairobi office.
Josephine holds an MSc. in Agriculture and Applied Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management, both from Egerton University. She is skilled in the use of various statistical analysis tools such as SPSS, EVIEWS, R, STATA among others.
Before joining AFIDEP, Josephine worked as an Economist at the National Treasury in Nairobi. She previously worked as a Young Professional/Policy Analyst at the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) in Nairobi. She has also worked as a part-time lecturer at Egerton University in Nakuru, and as an Enumerator at Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO) in Nakuru. Josephine is a highly experienced agricultural economist.
During her free time, Josephine enjoys traveling to new places, as it allows her to explore different cultures and gain fresh perspectives. She likes reading and watching documentaries, and is actively involved in community work.
She also loves dancing and listening to music.
