Our People

Joshua serves at AFIDEP as Research and Policy Analyst (Post-Doc Fellow) in the Youth Futures Project, based in the Nairobi Office.

Joshua holds a Ph.D. in Economics (Applied Economics) from the University of Cape Town. He also holds a Master of Economics (Econometrics) from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor of Economics and Statistics, also from the same university.

Joshua’s work experience spans over nine years in both research practice, teaching and data analytics. Prior to joining AFIDEP, Joshua worked as a Research Manager at Zizi Afrique Foundation. He previously worked at Development Initiatives as Senior Analyst on Poverty and Inequality Research and was a post-doctoral researcher at both the University of Manchester and the University of Cape Town.

Besides the above, his other research interests include the economics of education, human capital development, and urban development.

Outside of work, Joshua enjoys music and adventurous drives.
