Our People

I’m Sandra Abbo from the beautiful Eastern part of Uganda, Tororo district. Currently, I serve as the Behaviour Change and Communications Officer at Strong Minds Uganda, where we’re dedicated to treating depression. My role involves health promotions, crafting impactful materials, and fostering partnerships.

After completing my PHED, I’m eager to advocate for integrating PHED initiatives into our mental health programming. I envision amplifying awareness on PHED during our school and community activities, aligning with its principles for a holistic impact. This shift promises significant improvements in the lives of those we serve.

Being part of this program has been transformative. I’ve built connections with inspiring fellows from Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, soaking in valuable insights from esteemed instructors. It’s an honor to have been part of the inaugural cohort of the BUILD PHED leadership program.
