Our People

Kerryn is a human rights lawyer and researcher with over five years’ experience in advocacy, participatory research, and programme coordination across Africa. Her work focuses on gender justice, economic empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights. Prior to joining AFIDEP, she served as a Research Officer at the International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW), where she led research initiatives and worked closely with youth researchers across several countries.
She has also worked with organisations including UNESCO, Kituo Cha Sheria, and CLEAR-Kenya on issues related to access to justice, and girls’ education. She is passionate about evidence-informed policy and centring community voices—particularly those of young people and marginalised groups—in research and advocacy processes.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing, spending time with family and friends, and exploring new coffee spots.
