Prof. William Otiende Ogara is a seasoned finance professional, organizational development expert, and board leader with over 25 years of experience across finance, governance, civil society, and leadership development in Africa and internationally.
He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director at one of the Central Banks in Africa, where he chairs the Non-Executive Board Members Committee and sits on the Audit & Risk and Human Resources Committees. He previously served on the Board of the Central Bank of Kenya, where he was Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee.
A Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Prof. Ogara has made a tremendous impact in the profession and also across financial institutions, universities, and investment entities. He is also the Chair of the Board of Fin Church Aid (Kenya).
Prof. Ogara holds a PhD in Organizational Change and Renewal, an MBA in Strategic Management, and a Bachelor of Commerce. He is widely published on governance, financial accountability, leadership, and institutional transformation, and remains passionate about ethical leadership, mentoring, and succession development.
