AFIDEP participates in ATTP Fiduciary and Technical Capacity Building training in Addis Ababa
Event Date: 12 - 16 Oct 2026
Event Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP) is taking part in the Africa Think Tank Platform (ATTP) Fiduciary and Technical Capacity Building training, held at the African Union Commission Headquarters in Addis Ababa from October 12 to 15, 2026.

AFIDEP’s representatives include:

  • Edward Njenga – Finance Officer
  • Kerryn Magak – Research and Policy Associate
  • Doris Siteinei – Finance and Administration Officer

The training brings together the thirteen think tanks participating in the ATTP, which is implemented by the African Union Commission, African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and AUDA NEPAD with financing from the World Bank.

Through hands-on working sessions led by the ATTP Secretariat, with participation from the World Bank, participants are strengthening their capacity in financial management, procurement, monitoring and evaluation, and communications and visibility, as well as using the ATTP digital platform for reporting.

ATTP is a pan-African, African Union Commission-led initiative that strengthens the collaboration of African think tanks in generating evidence, policy solutions, and implementation tools for Agenda 2063. The Platform works across six priority themes: economic transformation and governance, regional trade, climate change, food security, human capital development, and digitalisation.

AFIDEP is part of the Building Resilience and Impact through Dialogue and Galvanising Action for Evidence-Informed Policymaking (BRIDGE Africa) consortia together with African Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET) – Ghana, Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation (Cameroon) – NKAFU policy Institute, South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) – South Africa, and Policy Centre for the New South (PCNS) – Morocco.

Our participation reflects our commitment to robust, accountable delivery of our ATTP work and to strengthening the role of African think tanks in shaping evidence-informed policy across the continent.
