AFIDEP and other stakeholders led by the Kenya National AIDS Control Council (NACC) will be hosting the 4th Maisha HIV and AIDS Conference whose theme will be Translating the Science to End New HIV Infections in Kenya: Perspectives, Practices and Lessons.
The conference which is scheduled to take place from 28th to 31st May 2017 seeks to promote public engagement in understanding existing and emerging HIV prevention, care and treatment research of emerging associative medical problems like meningitis and tuberculosis, malaria, kidney failure, ARV side effects among others. It further seeks to explore the utility of these research findings in every-day policy and implementation decisions not only in health care service delivery, but also in community HIV services, financing decisions, planning by organisations and across sectors in order to create the necessary ripple effect for HIV epidemic control in Kenya.
